TEXT: JOHN 5:1-13
There are many broken people in our communities; in our world.
On an emotional level: Folk who may look whole on the outside, but deep inside there is brokenness. The smile on the outside hides the pain of a broken heart. On a spiritual level: to the outside world, there may be a façade of wholeness, that everything is OK, but inside there’s the guilt and shame of unconfessed sin. There is no living relationship with Jesus. There is no peace with God.
O, but what good news, friend! Jesus extends to this man the wholeness that only He can offer. Likewise to you and me, He offers his wholeness. That which he purchased on Calvary’s cross. Listen in on this sermon as we reflect on what Jesus offers as He stands with us in our brokenness.
