“…Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding” (John 2:2)
Bible Reading: John 2:1-12
Anyone who prepares for a wedding knows how much needs to be planned for: caterers, venue, celebrant, musicians, guest list etc. Well, on this occasion, the best thing that the groom and bride could have done, in all their preparations for their big day, was to invite Jesus to be part of their wedding.
A wonderful piece of advice from this occasion can be drawn for yourself, Dear Reader. In your moments of heartache, hurts and pain, when you face stormy and challenging times, the Lord Jesus promises to be near you, to heal the broken-hearted and bind all wounds. Invite Him to be part of them.
In times of big decisions, when you don’t know which way to turn, don’t exclude the loving Saviour from those moments. Invite Him in. Seek His counsel! He knows the beginning from the end.
Even in your time of great joy and celebration, invite Jesus Christ to be part of them as well.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, come and be part of my highs as well as my lows; be with me in my valleys as well as on my mountain tops?
