“16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Bible Reading: John 3:16-21
Have you ever found yourself going to God with some pretty big questions? I know I have. In this passage we find Nicodemus did. He was highly learned in the Scriptures, a teacher of the Law himself, but He did not know that the One standing before Him, was the very one Whom the Law spoke about.
There comes a point when the great debates of life reach their points of exhaustion; human reason and intellect reach their termination point and the instruments/logic of man, the creature, cannot explain the things of God, the Creator. Then what? What’s left? At the end of Nicodemus’ reasoning, stands the Saviour, God’s “one and only Son”. In the great questions of life, in matters relating not only to time, but to eternity and the hereafter: Jesus is still the answer! God’s answer to the question of love; God’s answer to the question of life.
Dear Lord, thanks for understanding me and the many questions that I have from time to time. Help me to trust even when I cannot see or fully understand.
