Welcome, Friends to the season of Advent!
An amazing season it certainly is, as we journey together toward Christmas.
This year, as a family, we will be using different items each day through December, to reflect on the true wonder of the events surrounding Christmas.
We’d love to invite you to be part of that journey with us as a family. I’ll be posting daily reflections based on the items handcrafted by Samantha and we pray that these will be a blessing to you all.
Of course, the word advent is derived from Latin term which means “coming.” So, we use these weeks leading up to Christmas as a chance to look forward to our celebration of the arrival of Jesus,
the Messiah,
the light of the world,
our Savior.
Advent is a season of great expectation, and together we join in this epic journey that began more than two thousand years ago.
It’s a journey that will get our heart and minds focused/realigned; it’s a journey that will explore the gifts of Christmas delivered by and through Christ: hope, love, joy, and peace; it’s a journey of the heart and soul.
Friends, at the end of an especially draining year like 2020, we all need hope in the storms of life and love that never gives up. We need fresh joy on our journey and peace no matter what we are facing or dealing with.
So, come along and let's journey together through Advent.
